Current Employment
I currently work as an independent contractor with the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame. I have been working with them since 2015.
Previously I worked with the Denver Audubon designing their bi-monthly newsletter, The Warbler, until 2020.
I create both print and web graphics, as well as update the CWHF website. A highlight for me was creating a unique Girl Scouts of Colorado Patch (seen below). Girl Scouts are required to complete a scavenger hunt on the CWHF website to answer questions about the Inductees, and earn the patch.

Recommendation from a former chair of Colorado Women's Hall of Fame
"Mary Urban has supported Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame for over four years. She has performed a myriad of tasks for us during that time.  Her excellent design skills have allowed us to share beautiful programs for our Inductions, a variety of material to advertise our events, a brochure updated every two years representing our 182 remarkable Inductees, and media to promote our films and podcasts.  Whatever design tasks we request of Mary, she steps up and produces excellent results.  In addition, she manages our day to day website changes, as well as monitors it for availability.  When necessary, she contacts the provider and gets problems fixed.  Mary has been invaluable to our organization in the last four years. Girl Scouts of Colorado Fun Patch. This was made into a real patch from the design (left) in partnership between The Colorado Women's Hall of Fame and Girl Scouts of Colorado. This was one of my favorite design projects I did for the CWHF. Visit CWHF GSCO webpage  for more information about the patch.
Education
I have an Associate's degree in Graphic Design from Arapahoe Community College. I have also created basic motion graphics using Adobe After Effects.
Photography has been a beloved hobby since I was young. Below left: I volunteered at the Red Cross Hero's Soiree in 2018 taking event photos. Below right: Inductee Stories Luncheon 2019 for Colorado Women's Hall of Fame.
